Jacquline Newcomb — Store Manager/Interior Designer-Project Manager
Jackie was born in Traverse City and received a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design degree from Central Michigan University. She joined Bay Design in 2007 bringing more than 20 years of design experience in both residential and commercial interiors. Her specialty is her natural ability to transform a home by choosing an eclectic mix of classic traditional design with a contemporary twist. Jackie draws inspiration from her clients and from the constantly changing world of design. The challenge of balancing her clients’ tastes and needs while respecting the homes’ architectural integrity makes her the successful, award-winning designer she is today.
Wendy Ryan — Interior Designer/Display Director
Wendy was born in Wichita, Kansas. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1991 and joined Bay Design in 2000. She was drawn to the field of visual merchandising early in her career and currently directs store display as well as numerous interior design projects. Her focus in blending architectural styles and periods while adhering to her client’s preferences has won her many accolades. Wendy’s showcase homes have been featured in national publications. Under her design direction, Bay Design Store in Ann Arbor was named one of the Best 50 Stores in the Country by Home Accents Today Magazine in 2007. She is also a talented sculptor and has won regional and national awards for her artwork and jewelry design. Leighanne LaMarre — Interior Designer
Leighanne joined Bay Design in 2005 and she has proven to be a highly creative designer with a talented rendering ability and attention to detail. She was born in Brighton, Michigan and graduated Cum Laude from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Leighanne brings her passion for design and hard work to every project she encounters. She remains an essential part of the firm’s growth and success. Outside of work she and her husband enjoy raising their young son Jackson.
Lara Carlson — ASID, Junior Designer
Lara was raised in the Brighton area and graduated Cum Laude from Eastern Michigan University in April 2010. Throughout her college career she received many awards for her design work and academic achievements. She enjoys taking on creative challenges and has been a key component of Bay Design’s continuing success for the past two years as a design assistant and junior designer. Bay Design is pleased to have such a positive, self-sufficient, and talented person on their team and recognize that Lara has a bright future ahead of her in the design world. Beyond work, Lara cherishes her time spent with her friends and family sailing on Lake Michigan and outdoor activities.
